My Family

I live in central ohio with husband of 10 years, our 3 little men, and our German Shepherd, Princess Leia. (My husband is a starwars nerd, if you can't tell). I've been a mother and a wife since I was 19 years old. Being a mom was all that I knew, from nearly the moment I stepped into the adult world, and in many ways I've had to grow up right along with my boys, who have taught me the most important lessons about life. I've been blessed with an incredibly amazing husband who has made me feel valued, loved and supported in every area of my life. I'm so thankful that our children get him as an example of how a husband, father and man should be. Our lives have been FAR from easy, and we've been hit many times with hardships and tough blows, but through it all we have continued to put our faith and trust in the Lord who has always been faithful, and walked with us every step of the way

"Trust in the Lord with all you heart. Lean not on your own understanding. But in all your ways, acknowledge him and he will make your path straight." -Proverbs 3:5-6

Fun facts about me

I. Identical twin

Most people might already know this, but I have an identical twin sister, and we are very regularly mistaken for each other in public. If you think you've seen me out and about, you might wanna think twice! It could have been her ;) Surprisingly, we only recently found out that we were identical. We went most of our lives not knowing.

II. Autism mom

Aside from being an all-boy mom, several years ago our lives were changed forever when we found out that our middle son, Micah, was diagnosed with nonverbal autism. Walking this journey has been the hardest parts of our lives, but the Lord has been with us every step of the way. We celebrate every obstacle that Micah has overcome, and we love being his mom and dad.

III. Homeschool life

I was homeschooled my entire life, and now we homeschool our children! Micah goes to an ABA center during the day, because he needs the extra attention, and he bounces off the walls. He gets so much out of going there. We homeschool our kiddos as a team. My husband is just as much involved in the process as I am, and I can't be more grateful for the husband and father that he is!
